Should I quit a job that offers no health insurance?
I've worked full time since the age of 15. I have two bachelors degrees. last august I got hired at a call center through Kelly Services. The company promised I'd be hired on by November from kelly services. I took the job because in four months I figured I'd have health insurance etc. It's now been nine months and NO insurance and am still a kelly services employee. I NEED health insurance for ongoing medical issues. I recently filed bankruptcy because of medical issues. I feel like quitting now and just looking for a new job putting my two weeks notice . My hours are so weird here it makes it hard to look for a job while I'm working here. Buying health insurance on my own without my employer is too expensive in my state. What should I do? I was LIED to during the interview
Why do republicans assume that everyone without health insurance is lazy?
I work 50 hour a week. My employer doesn't offer any insurance. In my state BCBS controls 90 % of the business. Why dont' they understand that MOST people get insurance through their employer who pays for MOST of the cost. If you pay for it on your own it's OVERWHELMINGLY expensive. I need it for ONGOING illnesses. The way it is right. I have schizophrenia. I NEED it, and despite my severe illness i work 50 hours a week. Why can't they understand that. Why do they call everyone lazy, etc, while at the same time they get OFFERED to PURCHASE it. I just want the chance to PURCHASE it, like they get to through an employer.
Where can I find basic and cheap health insurance?
I am a 25 year old part time college student looking for very basic and cheap health insurance. I had prior insurance under my father s plan but was dropped when I turned 25. Legally I can elect COBRA continuation coverage but the monthly cost is above what I can afford. I am looking for cheap insurance that would cover doctor visits and prescriptions. I am not very knowledgeable about any of this any advice would be greatly appreciated.
