I'm a 30 year old guy with two bachelors degrees. I'm stuck working in a call center on the graveyard shift worst job ever with NO weekends off. This place is PURPOSELY keeping me hired on through a temp agency even though the position is permanent so that they don't have to pay for my healthcare. Everyone else that works here who is full time is HIRED by the company and has health insurance accept for me and I've been here for 7 months. I've been applying for other jobs with no luck. I also have a part time job that does not offer insurance as well. i'm tempted to join the peace corps just to have health insurance and to GET OFF THE OVER NIGHT SHIFT. I can't think of any other way out.

How is it legal for health insurance companies to discriminate against people with disabilities I mean, medical disabilities , but other companies are not allowed to, like grocery stores are not allowed to? When I was hired at my company I was told " We are searching for a better health insurance" . After a year I asked why there is no health insurance. I was told its too expensive. I was also told in the interview , my pay would increase by 10,000 dollars after a 90 day review. I'm 31 and I have a pre existing condition open heart surgery 2004 .I take coumadin daily and get my blood checked every month at Jacksonville Heart Center. I'm looking to take another job with much better pay. The only problem is they don't offer health insurance yet. I've been quoted at $180 $190 a month that do accept pre existing conditions. I am looking for a good and reasonably priced health insurance provider for my 9 year old son. Insurance through my work is outrageous so I'm looking for an outside provider. His mother is suppose to have already put him on CHIP with the state of TX by court order but she refuses to do so for some reason. I hate the idea of him being without health insurance.
