Why do some people hypocritically demonize those of us who own a cell phone, but then ask to use it?
They say we're losers who are addicted to technology. I say they're hypocrites who need to get with the times. I acknowledge that there are those who allow technology to rule them and I think it's sad, however, I don't advocate not owning one because 'cell phones are stupid,' but taking the liberty to ask for mine.
Why are people with cell phones so rude to others?

I've called from home so my phone number is showing up. I even sent myself a text via the computer asking them to PLEASE call me. What's wrong with people? This isn't so hard to figure out, is it?

Asking to see someones cell phone, even your friends, can make someone immediately ask 'Why?" . They are full of our favorite people, songs, pictures and games. They go everywhere with us. We use them to do our day to day lives. We shop and research all the kinds to see which fits our personal need and personality. Then we cover or decorate the phone to make it even more us. Watch how a person who missed place their phone reacts. How did something for convince become an icon for ourselves?
Appropriate voice mail message for my cell phone?
I know they say you should say something professional especially when job searching , along the lines of.." Hello you have reached Jane Doe, I am unable to take your call right..blah..blah.." but is it okay to just have the automated message from my cell? Mine says " Your call has been forwarded to an automated voice messaging system insert here is not available. At the tone, please record your message. When your finished recording you may hang up or press 1 for more options. to leave a call back number press 7" is it MUCH better to record my own greeting or is it fine to leave this one? I hate hearing my voice on that thing, i feel I sound so weird
Did cell phones and texting cause society to become more stupid over the years?
It seems like many cell phone users have almost come to the point where they are codependent on their cell phones today. Go into any business, drive down the street or look around and you'll see many people using cell phones or a blue tooth to talk to people at almost any time of the day or night. Some of these people are very rude when having their discussions and seem to talk louder, making their personal conversations everyone elses business when they shouldn't have to be. May cell phone users kill others while driving or texting others while using cell phones when driving. Other are too focused on texting or using other cell phone applications on their phones. Some of them are rude because their focus should be on other more important things. The other day, I was walking in a store and had two people walk right into me because they were too busy on using their phones. There should be some type of etiquette that these people should use but they don't I would really like to get other peoples opinions on this matter whether you use a cell phone or not.Thank you.For the people driving and using a cell phone to talk or text, the next person you have an accident with, or hurt or even kill could be me or one of my loved ones. Thats why I care.For others, I don't need to know every bit of your personal converstation that you have on your phone, so until you can talk on your phones and be a little bit more discreet by using a lower tone of voice, your making personal conversation a public conversation. The issue with teens using them makes no sense unless they have a job to pay for the fees for using these phones.

I heard that some Commssion for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing provides Pager or Cell Phones My state does not provide one but TTY only.I'm going to Gallaudet soon, my parents are making me take my old TTY with me. They could not afford a cell phone for me. I would rather use a cell phone not that old TTY. Does anyone know about a cell phone for the deaf to use that I can get one?
