Thank God they did not put the Social Security money on the markets? Can I get an Amen, from anyone? Yo, I do not play the stock markets. I am gambler though. The question I tried to put on an answer about betting on sports. I was trying to make a point. 3 times I tried to update, and it would not take. So I thought it might pose as a good question to see how many people are getting conned. 2 times a month basiclly, large sums of money go into the stock market from people's contributions to their retirement accounts. If you have a piggy bank and keep putting money into it. Does it or does it not fill up with your savings? The piggy bank at the stock markets have had big cracks for a long time. What is happening now is because the money handlers pushed growth beyond it's true value and it is now imploding. What a con job! I do believe that they call Horse Racing Gambling, yet because it involves numbers, it is allowed where other forms of gambling are not. Please do not beleave for one moment that the stock markets are not gambling. Try horse racing, pic your potential ROI/ stock for a quick return on your money. Someone else was talking about it being a sin, I was trying to get them straight. I know there are quite a number of people that do not look past one angle to something, it'll be your loss. There are winners. Good luck. Now I'de of bought some GM and some of those other ones when they went below 4 dollars a share for a couple of hours. I was at the track. Holly Crap- ole. No one can avoid gambling. If you buy health insurance, you're betting against your health. If you don't buy health insurance, that's a gamble too. |

First of all, investing is not the same thing as gambling. Investing, when done correctly, weighs a lot of risk factors -- for instance, the financial health of the company or fund the investor is considering, the current financial situation, the future outlook for the company's business, and so on. Gambling doesn't work that way. Gambling involves nothing more than sheer chance. There's little or no way to predict or analyze what will happen in gambling. Besides, what makes people think that Christians are never supposed to gamble? There's no sin in gambling -- provided it's done in moderation, with "extra " wealth that the person can afford to lose, and is not putting oneself or one's dependents in financial jeopardy. . |
